The art or science of combining vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion

Music does not need to just be guitar bass drums singer. Often times, especially with newer bands, synthesizers can greatly increase the seeming talent that a band has. I just downloaded Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavillion. It is honestly a great album. I have never listened to them before, but they are from Baltimore/DC/NYC, and apparently have been playing for years. I highly suggest this band for people who like Radiohead, Album Leaf, and -drawing blank-

I have been super busy with school and home stuff lately. My birthday was on Sunday. I got to go hang out with my cousins, and my aunt made an amazing cake. I am sitting in history class right now listening to music. We have a sub and there is no work for me to be doing, so it's kinda cool. This is actually the first chance I have had to listen to Animal Collective. It makes me think of just hanging out with friends and running around being a teenager.

I also downloaded a ton of Mogwai and Fugazi the other day. Some really great stuff there. Happy Songs for Happy People will just increase whatever emotion you are in. So people out there- DO NOT LISTEN TO IT UNLESS YOU ARE HAPPY!!!! Fugazi 13 Songs is just pure genius. Singer Ian MacKaye - former DC punk rock hero. Personally thrilled with almost everything that came out of DC, NYC, and LA in the 70's.

Please check out punkrockmommy.org/blog (My mom's blog) Start at the beginning. It's not updated anymore, but it'll take you at least a few weeks to read all of them.
